Privacy Policy
Last updated October 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Jumping Ahead, Inc. ("we", "us", "our"), publishing as Warm Wisdom Press, handles information in connection with Valuist (the "App") and the website at https://valuistapp.com (the "Site"). If you have questions, write to privacy@jumpingahead.com.
The short version
- We do not collect your personal information. There is no account and no sign-up. The App never asks for your name, email address or phone number.
- Your tasks stay on your phone. Everything you write in the App (tasks, projects, notes, plans, history and settings) is stored on your device. We do not run any server that receives it, so we cannot see it, read it, sell it or lose it.
- "Plan my day" runs on your phone. The App's planning suggestions use the artificial-intelligence model built into your phone (Apple Intelligence on iPhone, Gemini Nano on Android). What you write is processed on the device and is not sent to us or to any cloud AI service.
- Backups go only to your own account. If your phone is set up for it, the App's data is backed up to your own iCloud account (iPhone) or your own Google account (Android). Those backups belong to you; we cannot access them.
- No advertising, no analytics, no tracking. The App contains no ad networks, no analytics or crash-reporting tools and no third-party trackers, and it does not use your phone's advertising identifier.
- You can delete everything at any time with Settings → Your data → Delete all data in the App, or by uninstalling it.
1. What the App stores, and where
On your phone
The App stores the following only on your device:
- the tasks you add, their order, value tags (High, Medium, Low), repeat settings, dates and notes;
- your projects, their one-line status notes and whether they are active, parked or archived;
- your history of completed, moved and dropped tasks, kept for the period you choose in Settings → Your data → History kept (30 days to forever; 90 days unless you change it);
- your settings: tasks per day, reminder times, weekend preferences, language, and the days of rest and religious calendars you choose (for example Jewish, Christian, Muslim or Hindu holidays, or your own days off).
Your choice of days of rest or religious calendars may reveal something about your beliefs. That choice is stored only on your phone and in your own backup, and it is never sent to us.
In your own backup
- iPhone: if you are signed in to iCloud, the App saves one snapshot of its data to the private database of your own iCloud account (Apple CloudKit), a few minutes after you make changes. Only you can access your private iCloud database; as the developer, we cannot see or read it. Apple stores it under its own terms and privacy policy. You can turn iCloud off for the App in your iPhone's Settings, and Settings → Your data → Delete all data in the App also deletes the iCloud snapshot.
- Android: the App allows Android's built-in backup service, which, if you have turned it on, backs up the App's data to your own Google account under Google's terms and privacy policy. We cannot access it. You control this service in your phone's settings.
Files you export
Settings → Your data → Export a copy creates a file encrypted with a passphrase you choose (AES-256-GCM, with a key derived from your passphrase). We never receive the file or the passphrase. You decide where to save or send the file, and whoever you share it with handles it under their own terms. If you forget the passphrase, nobody, including us, can open the file.
2. On-device planning ("Plan my day")
When you use Plan my day or ask the App to split a task into steps, the App sends what you wrote (and, if you choose, the contents of your drawer) to the language model built into your phone's operating system:
- On iPhone, Apple's on-device foundation model (part of Apple Intelligence). It runs on the phone. Apple Intelligence must be turned on in your iPhone's Settings.
- On Android, Google's Gemini Nano, provided through Android's AICore system service and Google's ML Kit. It runs on the phone. The first time, your phone may download the model from Google.
Your text is processed on your device and the result stays on your device. We never receive it, and the App does not send it to any cloud AI service.
Google ML Kit (Android only). Google requires us to tell you that the ML Kit software used for on-device planning may contact Google's servers from time to time to receive updates (such as bug fixes and updated models), and sends Google metrics about the performance and use of the ML Kit features in the App. According to Google, the text you write is processed entirely on the device and is not sent to Google. This is handled by Google under the ML Kit terms (https://developers.google.com/ml-kit/terms) and Google's privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). We do not receive these metrics.
Suggestions are produced by a machine and may be wrong or unsuitable. You always see a suggested plan before it is saved, and you can reorder or reject it.
3. Other features that use your phone
- Reminders. Planning reminders are scheduled on your phone as local notifications. No message is sent through a server. You can turn them off in the App or in your phone's settings.
- Dictation. The App does not record audio or ask for microphone access. If you dictate with your keyboard's microphone button, the dictation is performed by your phone's keyboard (Apple, Google or another keyboard you installed) under that provider's own terms and privacy policy, not by us.
- Time zone and language. The App reads your phone's time zone and language settings to schedule reminders and show the right language. They stay on the phone.
4. What we do not collect
Through the App, we do not collect, receive or store: your name, email address, phone number or address; your tasks, projects or plans; your location; your contacts, photos, camera, microphone or calendar; any device or advertising identifier; or any usage, analytics or crash data. The App does not create an account or user ID of any kind.
5. The App Stores
You download the App from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Apple and Google process information about your download, your device and your account under their own terms and privacy policies. They may give developers aggregated, anonymized statistics (such as the number of downloads by country) and, if you have agreed to share them with developers, crash reports. These do not identify you to us, and we use them only to understand and improve the App.
6. The Site
The Site is a set of static pages served by our hosting and content delivery provider (Bunny.net). Like any web server, it receives the technical information needed to deliver a page, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, and keeps it in short-term server logs used for security and to keep the Site running. We do not use this information to identify you.
The Site uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising or tracking tools. If you choose a language, your browser remembers that choice in its own local storage, on your device, and it is never sent to us.
7. When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and anything you choose to include. We use them only to answer you and to keep a record of our correspondence. We keep emails for up to two years after the conversation ends, unless we need them longer to comply with the law or resolve a dispute. Our email is provided by a service provider that processes it on our behalf. Please do not send us your task data; we do not need it to help you.
8. How we use and share information, and our legal bases
Because the App sends us nothing, the only personal information we handle is what reaches us through the Site's server logs and the emails you send us. We use it only to run and secure the Site and to answer you (for people in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, our legitimate interests in doing so, or taking steps at your request), and to comply with the law.
We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising, and we do not use it to build profiles of you. We share it only with the service providers that host the Site and our email on our behalf, with authorities when we believe in good faith that the law requires it, and with a successor if we are involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case it would remain subject to this policy or one at least as protective.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy of it, and to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to our use of it, to receive it in a portable format, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
For the App, you already have full control: we hold none of your App data, so there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. Everything is on your phone and in your own backup, and Settings → Your data → Delete all data deletes it. For emails you have sent us, write to privacy@jumpingahead.com and we will respond within the time the law requires.
EU, UK and Swiss residents may also lodge a complaint with their data protection authority. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
U.S. state privacy laws (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and others). In the last 12 months we have not collected personal information through the App. Through the Site and email we may have collected identifiers (such as an IP address or an email address) and the contents of messages you sent us, for the purposes in section 8. We do not sell or share personal information, and we have not done so in the last 12 months. We honor Global Privacy Control signals, although there is nothing for them to opt you out of.
Do Not Track. The App and the Site do not track you, so they treat every visitor as if Do Not Track were on.
10. Children
Valuist is a general-audience app that collects no personal information from anyone, including children. Because nothing is collected, there is nothing for a parent to review or delete with us; a parent can delete everything from the child's device with Settings → Your data → Delete all data or by uninstalling the App. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
The best protection is not to hold your data at all, and we don't. Your data on the phone is protected by your phone's own security, such as its passcode and encryption, so please keep your phone locked. iCloud and Google backups are protected by Apple and Google. Exported files are encrypted with your passphrase. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. International users
We are based in the United States. The App works the same way everywhere: your data stays on your device and in your own backup. Emails you send us and the Site's server logs may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate, with the safeguards those providers offer.
13. Changes to this policy
If the App ever starts collecting or sharing anything, we will update this policy before the version of the App that does so is released, and we will say so clearly in the App and on the Site. The "Last updated" date shows when this policy last changed.
